I was under the tutelage of the great violin pedagogue Mr. Mauricio Fuks at Indiana University (USA) for 3 consecutive years (2018-2021) becoming his teaching assistant for 3 years (2018-2021). Moreover, I have taught young violinists in Elementary Schools, (e.g. Fairview Elementary School) and also collegiate students in the Jacobs School of Music (US). In Spain, I have teaching experience in several music schools instructing violinists ranging from 3 to 70 years of age. I have also worked with ADHD and autistic students with a great passion for violin playing and music-making. I hold a master's in Violin Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and in Psychology and Music (UNED). I have an excellent command of English, and Dutch and a good working knowledge of French. I base my teaching method on Suzuki and Galamian methods, which I combine with a wide repertoire of progressive violin pieces. Come and have a lesson with me!

I am teaching all levels, all ages, all kind of stile on the violin or viola. Of course mostly classical, but if you wish we can also play folk, pop or other kind of songs. We can focus on playing, on musicality, technical skills, chamber music, as you wish. We could also do general music education, or basic practical musical skills and training the ears. I don't use one specific method since I feel every person function differently I i like to design something personal what works the best.

With 27 years of experience as a violin teacher, artist and composer, I transmit my love of music in a creative, playful and holistic way. I have developed a method that adapts to each student according to their needs, levels and desires. I attach great importance to creating a caring and relaxed atmosphere where the student can flourish and develop both a solid technique and learn self-confidence. We will also discuss how to work efficiently and calmly and we will develop the qualities necessary to express yourself freely with your instrument. We will talk about musicality, physical well-being (the importance of breathing!), attentive listening and we will take the time to explore while having fun. If necessary, the basics of music theory will be learned gradually. Although I have a classical background I enjoy teaching a variety of music (Celtic, folk, klezmer, tango, jazz, films...) and I encourage my students to discover the most beautiful melodies in the repertoire and sometimes even to improvise or compose together. I often play chamber music (piano/violin) or violin duets with my students. I also pursued a masters degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools: Hart Muziekschool in Haarlem and Vioolstudio 020! in Amsterdam).
